C.G. v. Department of Education

Plaintiffs, two classes of children represented by parents in the Lancaster and Reading School Districts, brought a class action on behalf of their minor children to challenge the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s method for distributing special education funds.  The parties filed cross motions for summary judgment, and on January 28, 2011, the Court granted Defendants’ motion for summary judgment in part and denied the cross motions for summary judgment in all other respects.

The Court will hold a Daubert hearing in this matter on March 30, 2011.  A date for trial on Plaintiffs’ remaining claims will be set at that time.
